Color and print production: CMYK, Pantone matching, and what changes between screen and press

Every designer who has sent a file to print and received something that looked different from the screen has learned the same lesson: RGB and CMYK are different color systems with different gamuts, and managing the translation between them is a distinct skill from designing the colors themselves.
